The expansive interiors reflect a well-defined modern edge, complemented by subtle accents weaving in indigenous colors and materials for a comforting and homey warmth.
At the Diplomat's Hall, one can find free-flowing and organic shapes high above the ceiling, dramatically lit to reveal the elegant lines and forms of the design. it's these details that add to the overall experience at the new Marriott Grand Ballroom.
Along the impressive hallways leading to the ballroom and other function rooms, one is immersed in the countless details that surround you, from the plush floor carpet, the elegant wall finishings and design treatments, the dramatic ceilings, and the impressive art pieces displayed throughout the property.
Anja Silling, International Art Consultant of Melange Interiors Ltd, walks us through the different art pieces found in the impressive facility, each one unique and reflective of the diverse influences of the new Marriott Grand Ballroom's art collection.
Modern art pieces adorn the wide and stark walls along the hallways, providing a delicate burst of muted colors. Each piece is selected and curated from both local and international artists, including Impy Pilapil and Roberto Robles, representing the very best of contemporary art.
As you continue to walk the seemingly infinite hallway, Anja Silling points to another art piece on one side of the hallway. The walk becomes a visual treat, with modern art displayed in every wall, corner and side.
In between, you can rest for a short break in one of many comfortable seating areas throughout the property.
Moving up to the second floor and the site of the largest hotel grand ballroom in the country, you can find one of the support facilities. With its impressive size, the new Marriott Grand Ballroom is ideal for meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibits of any size. And if you're thinking of hosting a car show, the large elevators can handle all the equipment you need.
Inside the new Marriott Grand Ballroom, the sheer size just blows you away. Above, one can find over 178 programmable Pillow Ceiling Lights that changes to 360 colors at a push of a button to match any mood or lighting requirement. The ceiling height can also be adjusted from 12 meters to 10 meters for a more intimate gathering or function. The massive venue can be subdivided into four sections with its unique Skyfold Technology, vertical partitions that start from the ceiling, to fit any requirement. In addition, each segment of the ballroom features 9 utility boxes to provide event suppliers with data, internet, water, and even drainage. Plus, the ballroom is equipped with cat walks and other high steel platform structures for flexibility.
The Skyfold opens up another section of the ballroom, revealing the massive scale of the facility. Concerts, weddings, conventions, car shows, you name it. The new Marriott Grand Ballroom has the size and facilities for any event or requirement.
Above the ballroom, one can find one of six VIP Sky Boxes for your own private and exclusive function with an overhead view of the ballroom.
Further down the hallway, you'll find one of the many private function rooms for smaller gatherings which can be configured to match any theme or requirement. Size definitely matters. And the new Marriott Grand Ballroom does it magnificently.
