A barista, a front office agent, an executive assistant, and a car salesman embark on an epic Asian photographic journey with AirAsia and Nikon...
AirAsia and ThinkDharma Inc., exclusive distributor of Nikon Digital Cameras, in partnership with AirAsia's global loyalty programme, BIG, recently launched its search for the best travel photographer sending four pre-selected amateur photographers across key Asian destinations for one week starting July 21, 2015.

AirAsia Philippines Chairperson Maan Hontiveros led the launch of the unique promotion, along with key managers from the AirAsia BIG Loyalty Programme and ThinkDharma Inc. Winners will be selected via online voting at http://airasiatravelphotographer.com/, and will be open to the public starting August 20, 2015. At stake are Nikon cameras and AirAsia BIG Points, with the grand prize winner announced on September 11, 2015, with prizes for lucky voters as well.
During the launch, the four pre-selected amateur photographers tapped for the search were introduced, with (L-R) Paul Vincent Delfin, Antonio Nepomuceno III, Sarah T. Garcia, and Velvet Lagman-Macasaet. Each of the contenders will be paired with Nikon professional coaches, including noted photographers George Tapan, Parc Cruz, Raymond Cruz, and Adam Lee.
Each pair was assigned their own Asian destination for the their photographic challenge, including exotic destinations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
And as the destinations were assigned to the different pairs, there was an air of excitement and anticipation clearly seen on the faces of the teams and their photographic journey with AirAsia and Nikon begins...
...and the evening concluded with AirAsia's and ThinkDharma's management, along with the four participating amateur photographers and their coaches, on stage. A unique cross-promotion, AirAsia and Nikon presents the adventure of travel through the eyes of four amateur photographers and their respective Nikon pro coaches, and I just can't wait to view the images...
