Welcome to Swissotel Clark, the Newest Dining and Entertainment Destination in Clark Freeport Zone

It's been quite a while since I last posted on my travel blog and with the gradual re-opening of country and the world after more than two years of the quarantine experience, it feels good to be back again. And just in time too for the newest dining and entertainment destination in the Clark Freeport Zone...

With cautious optimism, the world slowly opens up in a new normal emerging stronger than before. The travel and F&B sectors are finally back on the rebound making up for lost time. Up north of the metro, this renewed energy resonates in the rapidly evolving skyline of the Clark Freeport Zone. Currently the tallest structure in the Clark Freeport Zone, Swissotel Clark shines as the beacon of #SwissHospitality and #SwissTastes in the plains of Central Luzon. The impressive glass and steel structure reflects the shifting light, transforming with different shades and colors unveiling new facets weaving layers in a continuous thread of memorable experiences from the world renowned luxury Swiss hotel chain.

Located within the expansive Hann Casino complex, Swissotel Clark boasts of 372 rooms and suites, five state-of-the-art meetings rooms and ten dining outlets for that perfect weekend getaway or business meeting. At the lobby, the lush outdoors are transplanted inside surrounded by verdant greens draped in natural light from the skylights above.

The accommodations at Swissotel Clark are just as impressive, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows for picturesque views of the distant mountain ranges or the changing cityscape of Clark Freeport Zone. The rooms are designed with the subdued elegance of the Swiss aesthetic with its warm earth and wood tones, modern and contemporary yet comforting with the posturepedic mattress and smooth quality linens to ensure a good night's sleep.

With the very latest in guestroom automation technology complemented by high speed internet, you remain connected with the outside world inside your home away from home. At Swissotel, the mantra of "Life is a journey" is taken to heart with all the modern amenities for a pleasant and memorable stay.

Functional and contemporary, the clean lines reflect #SwissHospitality in a pure and uncluttered expression of both style and understated elegance at the new Swissotel Clark. And this is just one of many complex and colorful weaves in the Swissotel experience...

...with sumptuous dining seamlessly blending its own unique layer to a memorable stay at the newest destination up north. The wide open space and plaza-like feel of MARKT recreates the vibrant marketplaces of Europe for a nostalgic vibe under the glow of colorful hues from the massive skylights of stained glass. For lunch or dinner, MARKT is the perfect spot to acquaint yourself with the Swissotel brand of service and hospitality matched with an impressive array of international cuisine all in one place. From pizza to pasta to healthy fare using the finest local ingredients and hearty mains fresh off the grill, diners are in for a treat at MARKT. Dining is a la carte, and you can select your dishes from the different stations and the chefs will prepare it a la minute and conveniently served to your table.

The Grill is understandably one of the more popular stations at MARKT, and it's easy to see why. There's just nothing quite like premium slabs of beef on a fiery grill, each one grilled to your preference.

The New York Angus Ribeye (P 1,900/300g) is just what you need to jumpstart your culinary adventures at Swissotel Clark, grilled to medium rare perfection with a juicy pink center.

Why not explore traditional Swiss flavors, like the Rosti Potatoes with Cervelat Sausage (P 400) at MARKT? Almost like a hash brown, the Swiss rosti is much thinner with a delicately crispier finish pairing well with egg or sausages. Other specialty Swiss staples from the Fry Station include the Rinder-Schnitzel or deep-fried pounded beef and Schweine Schnitzel or deep-fried breaded pork cutlet best paired with the German Potato Salad from the Salad Station

Enjoy sweet endings to a hearty feast at MARKT with their selection of homemade Gelato with an indulgent scoop or two. The wide variety of options at MARKT is your gateway to a world of flavors at Swissotel Clark (for more on MARKT, see my post Flavors of Swissotel Clark: Market Day at MARKT from other other food blog).

At The Atrium, decadent treats await at Oma's Dessert Bar for that perfect afternoon snack paired a with freshly brewed cup of coffee or tea. If you want to try something different, I hear the Teppanyaki Ice Cream prepared live in a dazzling performance is a spectacle kids and those young at heart will surely love.

The proverbial "kid in a candy store" rings true with the indulgent selections at Oma's Dessert Bar. What fancies you today?

And you can even bring the home the Swissotel experience with Oma's Dessert Bar's attractive packages or as gifts to loved ones and friends.

Not to be missed at Swissotel Clark is the Swiss Chocolate Cake, the iconic creation based on a traditional centuries old recipe and served in all Swissotel properties around the world. Made without flour, the Swiss Chocolate Cake is pure silky smooth chocolate indulgence. Enjoy a slice in your room with Swissotel's In-Room dining with a freshly brewed cup of coffee from your very own Nespresso machine.

And if dining in-room is your current mood, order up the Prawn Sinigang for some comforting local flavors. The large succulent prawns just elevates the local classic with a rich briny sweetness complemented by the light yet flavorful broth.

A refreshing round of handcrafted G&Ts adds a lavish spin to your relaxing getaway at Swissotel Clark. Meet me at The Atrium...

With over forty premium artisan gin labels along with a variety of tonics and garnishes, enjoying your own bespoke and customized libation at The Atrium is easy. Simply pick your gin, tonic and garnish and the master mixologists at The Atrium will whip it up right in front of you. The impressive selection makes it one of the largest in the country, and that alone calls for a toast.

In minutes, your handcrafted G&T is concocted right before you...

...for a relaxing tipple at The Atrium (for more on The Atrium, see my post, Flavors of Swissotel Clark: Meet Me at The Atrium for Refreshing G&Ts from my other food blog).

Starting July 7, Swissotel Clark will start accepting guests to their newest dining outlet offering authentic Italian cuisine at Ristorante di Verona under the helm of Chef Alessio Loddo. Traditional Italian dishes made with the finest and freshest ingredients imported from Italy, Chef Alessio promises an Italian dining experience in its truest and most authentic expression in the Clark Freeport Zone. Modern culinary techniques add elements of fun to Italian fine dining at Ristorante di Verona for a sumptuous feast to remember.

The finest prosciutto from San Daniele, 25-year old Balsamic reduction from Modena and 36-month Parmiggiano Reggiano are just some of the authentic and premium ingredients used at Ristorante di Verona. Start with the Bruschetta, Parmiggiano Reggiano 36-Mesi, Pomodoro in Cassetta and Pesto Genovese (P 550) for a refreshing burst of vibrant notes to open up the palate. And for that modern and fun spin, the pesto is served in a tube. Just squeeze for added hints of nutty notes to complete the flavors.

The intricate Insalata di Mele, Gorgonzola, Balsamico di Modena 25 Anni (550) is a plated masterpiece at Ristorante di Verona with the tart sweetness of green apples smoothened by the creamy Gorgonzola with the sharpness of premium balsamic reduction adding a flavorful depth to the dish.

For the main course, my pick is the Agnello Al Forno, Crosta Di Pistachio (P 2,700) or pistachio crusted rack of lamb. Masterfully executed with a juicy pink center, the dish is just one of many must-try savory mains at Ristorante di Verona.

The dessert selection is equally impressive with Chef Alessio's inventive deconstructed Tiramisu alongside traditional Italian classics including Panna Cotta, Strawberry Tarts and Cannoli. Ristorante di Verona is an exciting addition to the emerging culinary landscape of the Clark Freeport Zone, think of it as a sunny spot of Italy up north of the metro (for more on Ristorante de Verona, see my post, Flavors of Swissotel Clark: Infusing Fun to Italian Fine Dining at Ristorante di Verona, the Tenth and Latest Dining Outlet at Swissotel Clark from other food blog).

Early the next day, take in the views of the distant mountain ranges while enjoying a soothing cup of coffee from your own Nesporesso machine. It's time for breakfast...

...at MARKT, the all-day dining outlet of Swissotel Clark. Unlike the lunch and dinner service with its a la carte format, breakfast at MARKT offers the more familiar buffet format for that perfect start to your day.

The wide selection is skewed toward Western staples, but just as hearty. Enjoy a satisfying omelet prepared a la minute, or go for some Scotch Eggs and Eggs Benedict and a wide selection of sausages. Cereals, pancakes, waffles and French Toast along with fresh fruits round up the options.

Spend some me time at the pool, and enjoy a few leisurely laps at the infinity pool high above at the Fifth Level of Swissotel Clark.

The Swiss Tropic Pool Bar serves up filling snacks and refreshing beverages, including beer and cocktails that's perfect for sunset by the pool.

An ice-cold beer from Crazy Carabao, a local artisan brew, works for me (for more on Swiss Tropic Pool Bar, see my post Flavors of Swissotel Clark: Chillin' at Swiss Tropic Pool Bar on my other food blog).

In the mood for comfortingly familiar Asian flavors? Swissotel Clark has that covered with Spice Street Eats. Located at the Hann Casino where the gaming action is, Spice Street Eats recreates the rich and diverse flavors of Asian-inspired street food taking your palate on a culinary journey to the alleys of Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Singapore, Seoul and old Manila all in one place.

Enjoy a satisfying bowl of Laksa (P 420) with its soothing and creamy notes from the coconut curry based broth loaded with seafood and vegetables followed by a lingering heat...

...best paired with an assortment of dim sum like the Jiaozi (P 192/4 pcs) or steamed dumplings with savory minced pork vegetables.

From broth based noodles soups like Vietnamese Pho (P 420) to stir-fried noodles, rice toppings and dim sum and even Peking Duck, Spice Street Eats is a must-try stop at Swissotel Clark (for more on Spice Street Eats, see my post, Flavors of Swissotel Clark: A World of Asian Flavors at Spice Street Eats from my food blog).
