The Makati Food Tour 2014: One Day, Three Restaurants

Three distinct culinary styles, all in one day, within the bustling Makati Commercial and Business District.

In one day, the unique dining concepts of Raintree Restaurants were showcased as part of The Makati Food Tour 2014, featuring Museum Cafe, Terraz Bistro & Meetings, and Simple Lang. My tour begins at Museum Cafe, or simply M Cafe, for a hearty and comforting breakfast. Specializing in modern Asian cuisine, M Cafe offers congee, noodles and dim sum as well as pancakes and waffles to start the day right. I go for M Cafe's M Benedict, delicately poached eggs draped in rich Hollandaise sauce on arugula and Jamon Excellente (for more on M Cafe, see my post on my other blog at http://dude4food.blogspot.com/2014/09/the-makati-food-tour-2014-part-1.html). A good start and you're just about ready for lunch...

Lunch with a View: The Culinary Gems Festival at Taal Vista Lodge

There's nothing quite like a sumptuous buffet lunch overlooking a tranquil lake. And a volcano right smack in the center just makes it even more special.

Taal Vista Hotel celebrates it 75th anniversary with its Culinary Gems, a Filipino Food Festival in a 12-weekend buffet series featuring the best local and regional flavors from some of the best chefs in the country. That, and a great view of the lake. And a volcano. At Taal Vista Hotel's Cafe Veranda. Less than a two hour drive from the metro, Taal Vista Hotel is the perfect culinary destination for a weekend escape.
